Switch Brick Oven Pizzeria & Wine Bar is an independent restaurant

located right off of the heart of the loop in Palestine, TX.  Regina

and Carmen Santone, Palestine residents since 2007, opened the

restaurant in the spring of 2013.  It is our hope to offer Palestine

and surrounding communities a true neighborhood "joint," as we 

like to call it, where guests can receive food focused on quality,

fresh ingredients, prepared each and every day in our ktichen, at

an affordable price.

 

While we do have a focus on Italian, we strive to offer something for

evereyone.  The Italian menu selections begin with our Neopolitan-

style pizza, which includes importing the pizza flour as well as the

San Marzano tomatoes from Italy, and baking it in our unique high

-temp Woodstone oven, to a meatball recipe that came with the

Santones from the Calabrian region of Italy.  

 

The owners are the hands-on type, with Regina overseeing the bar and its selections and Carmen overseeing the kitchen's offerings.  Don't hesitate to ask for them by name.

 

The location of Switch is also unique, sitting atop an oak-lined, terraced hill and offering a beautiful view of the loop below from both the dining room but, particularly, from the patio.  

 

The building is a former Kingdom Hall and underwent 18 months of renovation, including the addition of European doors, columns and bar, to the installation of windows and patio.

 

We are glad to offer this restaurant to our fellow East Texans and hope that Switch becomes a go-to destination for dinners, celebrations and meetings.
